George Jeffrey Children's Centre

George Jeffrey Children’s Centre is a paediatric outpatient facility located in Thunder Bay, Ontario that has been enriching the lives of children from birth to 19 years of age for over 60 years.  Our vision is to be a Centre of excellence for the delivery of services to children with physical, developmental, communication and social needs by helping each child reach their full potential through the various programs and resources offered at the Centre.  Our knowledgeable staff are dedicated to providing quality and compassionate services that follow the standards of best practice in an environment that is safe, pleasant, caring and family-centered.

George Jeffrey Children’s Centre offers several services including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology, social work, as well as specialty programs including Seating & Mobility, Recreation, While You Wait and Augmentative & Alternative Communication.  Our dedicated staff also provide services to clients living in rural communities.  Our Centre has a Snoezelen Room (sensory room), Activities of Daily Living Suite and a therapy pool to assist with client treatments. 

In addition, as of January 1, 2019, George Jeffrey Children’s Centre now manages rehabilitation services being offered in publicly-funded schools across the east portion of Northwestern Ontario (from Upsala to Manitouwadge).
